Dwayne Lebarr Jr., police say, strangled and beat his older lover to death inside a North Bay Village apartment, and later drove to a UPS packaging store to do something even more unexpected.
He mailed himself the key evidence.
According to a newly released court documents, Lebarr sent himself a package containing the bloody clothes detectives believe he wore last month when he allegedly killed Craig Douglas Wolfe, 63.
Detectives intercepted the package, which also contained a laptop police believe Lebarr stole from Wolfe.
The blood-stained clothes and electronics, also including a camera police believe he bought with Wolfe’s money, are now crucial evidence in the murder case against Lebarr.
But Lebarr, 18, is a fugitive and is believed to be hiding somewhere in South Florida.
A Florida woman who was apparently tired of her dirty couch reeking of urine, took it outside and set it afire — and burned down her apartment in the process after the flames spread.
Jill Samantha Wooten, 45, told Fort Myers authorities that she dragged the sofa outside the apartment and poured lighter fluid on it and set it on fire, according to a report on abc-7.com.
Wooten was arrested by Fort Myers police last Friday. Her apartment building sustained major damage, including to the roof. She was charged with arson. She also was charged with domestic battery, accused of kicking and spitting at a man she lives with in the apartment.

A New Jersey woman was arrested after police said she brought her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth, causing the girl to suffer burns.
But 44-year-old Patricia Krentcil, who was charged with second-degree child endangerment, said her daughter was never exposed to the tanning booth’s UV rays and instead got slightly sunburned while playing outside on a warm day.
The girl’s father told NBC 4 New York his daughter told classmates at school that she “went tanning with Mommy.” He thinks a teacher overheard, inaccurately connected the girl’s sunburn to the tanning salon trip and contacted police.

The driver in a deadly crash on the Rikenbacker Causeway back on February 15, 2012, Michele Traverso, will remain in jail on a probation violation affidavit. The accident occured while Traverso was on probation for a drug charge.
